Eliminator result & Super Wednesday

World class doubles and amateur challenges.  Doors open 5:30pm, food & drink included!

Thank you to everyone who came for Monday’s enthralling entertainment at the Oratory. There was a great atmosphere and Nick did his old school and his many supporters proud, putting up a great fight against the awesome Camden. We wish Camden the very best in the Final Eliminator, which is the next stage of the World Championship run-up.

While the Eliminator did not make it to Wednesday - the entertainment goes on! Some of the World’s top players have offered to give us an exhibition doubles match, featuring Nick Howell & Camden Riviere, joined by reigning World Champion Rob Fahey and one of the UK’s top amateur players Peter Wright (six times UK amateur doubles champion and ten times UK over 40’s champion). Peter says he is a little nervous, but he did once get his handicap down to 0.9 and still manages a very respectable 5.1!

The evening will start with our "Amateur Challenge" event, in which you can try to beat the professionals at hitting Grilles, Winning Galleries and a £50 note! No special clothing or equipment needed, just a £5 entry fee. Once we amateurs have had a go, the professionals will show us all what they can do prior to their doubles match. Prizes for those who come closest to beating them!

The programme for the evening will be as follows:

5:30pm doors open with drinks and food available in all bars
5:30pm to 7:00pm Amateur Challenge – for those wishing to take part
7:00pm Amateur Challenge - the Professionals
7:15pm Raffle draw on court for the main prizes - including rackets signed by the players
7:30pm Exhibition doubles
8:30pm Interval for refreshments
9:00pm Exhibition doubles

Your ticket covered both Monday’s & Wednesday’s entertainment. If you would like to pass your ticket onto someone else, please do, but ask them to pay the £20 minimum ticket price to contribute to the costs of running the event. £20 cash on the door for anyone else you can encourage to come along.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
